Touch of swell this morning with glassy conditions to be had. Won’t last though, there is a SW wind change coming. Get on it early lads! Nice little bank still there although not the classic Windmills bank we are all wanting.
Water temp is still around 20 degrees and very comfortable in a springy or boardies and rash shirt. A few crew up there this morning with the long weekend and plenty of wave hungry metros….be patient with them, they surf shit 95% of the time and this is their chance for a few decent waves..not that poor surf manners should be excused but cut ‘em some slack, they’ll be gone Tuesday! Swell and surf is looking better from there anyways!
Would like to know some comments from people about the state of the roads into and out of the surf breaks down here. The region is being promoted these days as a five star location yet there is a large number of breaks still only accessible by 4WD on totally shit tracks. This is not hampering the crowds at all and is creating a large amount of erosion from people creating newer tracks and driving too fast on the existing tracks. I would like to see all current tracks into surf breaks laid properly and sealed so 2WD can access it. This would not increase crowds…rather it would spread the crowds that are already coming down here…let’s face it, people come here to drink wine and surf! Proper roads into and out of a many other breaks such as the back of Injidup, would see crowds spread out much more and more happy surfers, and as for the secret spot argument…nowhere down here is secret anymore…we have satellite imaging people!
This would also stop further erosion and if carparks are done properly with toilets and bins, there should be no problem with that causing litter or damage from parking.
I want to know what you think…post your comments!

Looked up at Windmills this morning and it wasn’t really the good folks…SW winds just starting to drift in and really not worth the effort. I was feeling crook anyway…bit of a bug going around!
Best bet is to watch the wind as there will most probably be a swell pulse from Saturday…just need to pick the right tide and wind to get a fun surf. Best of luck guys!

Small swell continues folks with not much relief in sight till the weekend or there abouts I reckon. Some nice little fun ones up at the Cape this morning with a strong, although not as strong as it has been, offshore. Water temp is still nice around 20 degrees. Fun little bank producing some fun wavs.
Crew was relatively mellow with no real standout fuckwits in the water…a good thing!
Try any of the small waves spots that handle an E/NE wind and you will probably have fun today.

Looked but didn’t surf folks…too small to be bothered really. Really strong easterly winds making it all the more non appealling, blowwing it flat and making paddling in a mission. Swell is tiny, even where I looked which was the Sugarloaf beachies…tiny!
I would find something else to do today folks honestly it is so small! Water temp should still be ok if you are super keen or have a Mal or fish for some fun! Will update again tomorrow but I suspect it is gonna be like this for a while!!

More wind and small swell. W.A. stands for Windy As I reckon! Bloody over it! Hahahaa! But really the surf was fun this morning. Nice little left hand bank with about 2-3ft peelers running along it…not earth shattering but just good fun. Water temp is lovely and warm, wind chill was up a bit though so a wettie was the go early…be ok for springy/boardies later on probably. Crew was ok, pretty mellow except for a couple of Wannabes spouting “..oh this is so shit and fat and blah blah… why don’t you whining fuck wits just shut up, the rest of out there don’t want to hear it mate!
You think you are too good for the waves when in reality you are just dicks that don’t appreciate what you have…it could be worse! Keep your whining to yourselves!
Checkout the small waves breaks today folks as it is dropping away quick and looking tiny tomorrow.

And still the wind continues! Small swell and strong winds is not a good combination! Some fun little waves down there today, not great but ok. Water temp is still really nice and there were hardly any people around so it made for a fun little session. Banks are nice and should be around for a while by the looks. You might like to try the usual small wave breaks for some action today…probably be ok as the wind moderates a bit later on.
Not looking like there will be much on the swell front for a while so best make the most of it people!
Work beckons!

Swell has dropped right out today and is looking small for a while I reckon. Nice little fun waves at shallows this morning but the wind is getting up a bit, at least it is off shore! Mellow crew early, nobody hassling just getting a few fun little waves. The water temp continues to be just great, nice and warm by WA standards!
Waves weren’t all time, but there were a few holding up on the left hander. We have had a run of below standard sand banks this summer so I can only assume it is going to get etter in the weeks to come…fingers crossed!
You might like to try Bears, Lefties for a bit bigger waves….wil loads of metros and wannabes out there though…always is…perhaps try the banks at Honeycombs or having a look at Gallows for a less crowded option.
Okay, work beckons crew, stay wet!

Great fun waves this morning with a mellow Yalls crew…usual Mal knuckleheads were out there though…just go anyway is the call..I don’t normally condone this type of thing but these guys are rude so if you want waves you just gotta go…they’re too old and fat to be a problem anyway!! Water temp was nice this morning and some fun little 3-4 ft rights and left to be had. get out there before the wind comes up again this arvo and howls it’s tits off again!

I never cease to be amazed at how many people can actually get into the water at carpark…unbelievable..mostly metros and wannabes..just a ridiculous amount of people in the water. There were some fun waves out there..if you could get them! Personally I surfed a slightly wind blown Yallingup…bit straight here and there but only 5 people in the water…
Water temp was ok, starting to get a bit cooler now. Swell size at Yalls was around 4-6 ft. Good fun seeing as though there was no crew, some nice rights to be had. Looking good for the morning too with a better wind direction forecast.
Get out there people…winter isn’t too far away and you all know what that means…freezing water and bloody norwesters!
Peace and Power on!
