Real person surf check from Yallingup sees the swell has dropped down to around 3-4ft or so with a light S wind blowing across it this morning. Tide is full and will receed throughout the day. Surf is not the best this morning first up, morning sickness to the max and lack of people in the water is testament to it being pretty average. Swell might pulse later on and the winds are predicted to do strange things today, going E for a while then back SW. If you can find a window and get some waves then go for it otherwise I would leave it till the next few days as it looks to be going to clear up a bit.

Peace and Power On!

Real person surf check from Yallingup this morning sees cleaner than expected conditions. Swell is up to around the 4-6ft range with a full tide first up that will receed through the day. Wind is S/SE first thing and despite some bumps, the wave faces are fairly clean. Possibly may go more SW later on but right now there is a few waves to be had. Swell is really southerly at Yallingup making it the “good old straight hander” so may be worth checking out some other spots like Inji etc today for a surf.

Further south looks to be more southerly as far as the wind goes and a bit more lumpy but there is a touch more swell.

Real person surf check from Yallingup this morning sees a clean morning with light E/SE winds and a swell to around 3ft or so that should come up a bit through the morning. Winds will tend more NE later on into the day as well. Tide is full right now but will receed through the morning.

Looking like a few fun Mal waves out there first thing but for anything bigger you will need to check the usual haunts like Bears, Lefties, Big Rock etc or wait till it pulses later on. Not much of a crew factor today and looks like a good morning for a surf.

Peace and Power On!

Real person surf check from Yallingup this morning folks sees the swell down to around 2-3ft and with a light E wind blowing. Clean offshore conditions this morning and worth a surf but not here, too small. Tide is high at present and will receed through the day to an afternoon low. Small wave breaks will be the go today with Sandpatches, Bears, Honeycombs, Lefties etc being the pick. The bank at Sandpatches deteriorated yesterday and is not looking the best.

Have fun out there!

Real person surf check from Sandpatches this morning folks. Lookin’ pretty fun to be honest albeit freezing cold with a E/SE wind blowing straight off the south pole this morning! Swell is down and looks to be around 3ft and a bit inconsistent right now, it may become more consistent later on. Bank is holding in there producing some good rights and the odd left at Windmills as well. Tide is middle at present and will receed a little more later on.

Certainly some waves to be had up here today and I would reckon Lefties, Big Rock, Honeycombs etc would all have waves today as well so take a drive whilst the wind is blowin and find yourself some fun! Few crew around today so get on it!

Peace and Power On!

Real person surf check from Yallingup this morning folks sees a strong E/SE wind blowing that feels like it is straight off the south pole!! Freezing! Swell has deminished to around 2-3ft and small wave locations will be the better option today. Tide is on the move through the morning and it will be worth waiting till later on for a surf to let the wind mellow out and allow the tide to receed. Places to check out would include Lefties, Big Rock, Honeycombs, Sandpatches, Bears etc.

Looking like a fun day for a few waves folks with the sun shinning…go get amongst it!

This was one of the best surfs had at Sandpatches for a long time. Generally a local crew out there all pretty good surfers except for a few metros struggling but they made for a good laugh!

The bank is set up at the northern end of Sandpatches and is farkin awesome! Long reeling, hollow right handers at around 3-4ft range. Low tide and a light E/NE wind. Heaps of grreat rides going down with Mark “Chubby” Button, “Flynny” and “Hitchy” gettin’ some smokin’ waves….”Jimmy” being a slack old bastard missed it!!  One of those days where you just don’t want the sun to go down on it ever! Bank should hold in there for a while but won’t hold a swell much bigger than that so head up there when it gets smaller.

One of the sessions of the years so far!

Thanks to “Coops” at www.epicswells.com for the pic. Stop by his site and check out the wicked photos of the surf in the area…just awesome!

Peace and Power On!
